Dutch poker star Noah Boeken claimed the 2006 British Poker Open, taking down Marc Goodwin and Mike Matusow at the final table to walk away with £50,000!!!!

Noah arguably had the toughest path to the final beating Gus Hansen in a tight heads up battle to win the PokerHeaven.com sponsored heat.

Boeken commented after the win, “I have enjoyed every minute of playing in this fantastic tournament and to actually go and win the title makes me feel very proud. It has been brilliant playing in front of a live crowd all week and I have been extremely impressed with the set-up of the event and can’t wait to return next year to defend my title.”

Once again many of the world's top players were in attendance, such as Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot and Marcel 'The Flying Dutchman' Luske, along with a mix of top online internet qualifiers and top celebrities.

With each heat being filmed exclusively for the Poker Channel, Sky Channel 844, the British Poker Open will be shown live every Wednesday and Friday at 21.30 from 19th April. The Final will broadcast on Wednesday 10th May at 21.30.
